Department of Pulmonary Medicine

Established in 2007, the Department of Respiratory Medicine has grown significantly, attracting dynamic physicians and pulmonologists to its core team. Our mission is to provide affordable, world-class healthcare to all, including the underprivileged. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, our department offers comprehensive pulmonary investigations and procedures. The faculty and students have collectively published more than 50 research papers.

Services Provided

Out-Patient and In-Patient Department (OPD & IPD):

  • The OPD operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on working days and 9:00 am to 1:00
    pm on holidays.
  • The IPD includes 60 beds, with an isolation ward for TB patients.
  • There is a 20-bedded dedicated RICU and HDU
    We provide 24×7 indoor patient services with dedicated doctors and staff.
  • Our emergency services are equipped to handle patients in both the Emergency
    and other departments.

Advanced Pulmonary Function Lab

Spirometry, DLCO, IOS and 6minute walk test for accurate diagnosis.

Fibre-Optic Bronchoscopy

Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, even for critically ill patients.

Paediatric and Rigid Bronchoscopes

Specialized scopes for pediatric care and future rigid bronchoscopy.

Level-1 Sleep Lab

Addresses sleep disorders like snoring, parasomnia, and insomnia.

Medical thoracoscopy

Diagnostic thoracoscopy for undiagnosed effusions and malignancies.

Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)

Upcoming equipment to enhance diagnostic and management capabilities.
