Department of Emergency Medicine

The Department of Emergency Medicine at KIMS is a 30-bedded, fully functional unit operating 24×7 to provide immediate and expert care to patients in critical need. We are the first point of contact for emergency cases, delivering rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment.

The department is equipped to manage a wide range of medical and surgical emergencies. Critically ill patients are promptly attended to by emergency physicians and are managed in collaboration with super-specialists from various departments. A dedicated 6-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Definition Unit (HDU) ensure close monitoring and advanced care for patients requiring continuous observation or life support.

With a team of highly qualified doctors, trained emergency nurses, and state-of-the-art equipment, we deliver high-quality care that includes ventilatory support, dialysis, and cardiac monitoring — ensuring every patient receives timely and effective treatment.
