The Department of Radiology at KIMS has evolved significantly since its inception in September 2004, when it operated with just a single portable X-ray unit and two fixed X-ray machines. Today, it stands as a cornerstone of the institution, offering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services. Functioning 24/7, the department supports all clinical and surgical specialities, playing a crucial role in patient care.

Services

The department offers a broad range of diagnostic and interventional services:

  • Diagnostic Imaging: MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray, Mammography
  • Image-Guided Procedures: FNAC, Biopsies (USG and CT-guided)
  • Therapeutic Interventions: TIPS, TJLB, TACE, Biliary drainage and stenting, Ablation techniques, PARTO, Varicose vein treatment
