The ‘Odisha Gourav Samman Award 2024’ was awarded to Dr. Sibanrayan Rath, a researcher affiliated with the Research and Development Department at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences(KIMS).
This accolade, presented by the American Merit Council in partnership with the World Charity Welfare Foundation and registered with the Government of India, recognizes Dr. Rath’s significant contributions to the study of multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria through the use of ethno-medicinal plants to create an orthopaedic lotion.
His innovative research has led to an Indian patent and the publication of over 40 impactful articles in both national and international journals, underscoring his dedication to addressing complex medical issues. The award announcement took place at Puri, Odisha, on December 31, 2024.
