The Academy of Pediatrics, Khurda, in association with the Department of Pediatrics, KIMS, organized World ORS Day with a walkathon from KIMS to Sikharchandi Chhak. The event, themed “ORS: A Simple Solution, A Healthier Future,” witnessed participation from 90 doctors, postgraduates, and health workers. The slogan “SIP SMART, STAY STRONG; SAY YES TO ORS” emphasized ORS as a vital health intervention.
Prof. Seba Ranjan Biswal, HOD Pediatrics, highlighted ORS awareness as a flagship IAP program. Prof. Nirmal Mohakud discussed ORS’s significance in daily practice and disease management, particularly diarrhoea. The initiative reinforced ORS as a lifesaving, cost-effective solution for dehydration.
